Seamless Air Alliance Certified Service Quality

“You can’t improve what you don’t measure.”

The Seamless Certified Service Quality program enables airlines to track the inflight connectivity experience that is being delivered to their passengers and recognizes service providers that are ready to work together with airlines to ensure a great passenger experience.

  • Use of Seamless Certified suppliers ensures airlines they can trust the performance metric claims and commitments made by suppliers conform to the standard.
  • Service measures can be used to establish a baseline performance expectation with suppliers, track performance over time, or compare between multiple service providers.
  • Certified suppliers are differentiated in the market from non-compliant suppliers.

Basic Tenets of the Program

  • A set of industry-agreed measurements central to inflight connectivity service quality.
  • A consistent method for calculating these measurements.
  • A method of scoring individual measures and a composite score that relates individual measurement scores to overall passenger satisfaction. Performance targets and the frequency of testing are left to the commercial contract.

About the Certification Program

The Seamless Certified test suite and specification have been developed in a closed-loop approval process between the Seamless Air Alliance Airline Forum and Technical Forum. The program specifies the use of common tools and methods for testing and is designed to minimize network load and data usage.

The Seamless Certified program will be extended to make improvements over time and keep pace with increasing passenger demands for higher performance.
